For sport lovers Piancavallo, a wide and sun-kissed plateau to the North of Pordenone, at 1,260 meters, rapidly accessible from the main cities of the plain, is the ideal destination for many open air activities.

Thanks to modern ski facilities for downhill and cross-country skiing, climbing walls, tracks for trekking and mountain biking, the ice rink, the football fields, the indoor stadium, the minigolf, the bowling area and the new indoor sporting arena you will certainly have an unforgettable holiday.

Piancavallo is able to satisfy all tastes and needs: 17 Km of downhill slopes, without forgetting cross-country skiing and snowboarding. Available for children, but not only: a baby snow park und the exciting Alpine Coaster (the railtrack bob-sleigh).

The views of the typical Dolomite landscape are marvellous, and on a sunny day you can see the Adriatic from the highest peaks.
There are deltaplane facilities in Castaldia, where you can launch yourself into the clear blue sky from a height of 1091 metres above sea level.
Near Piancavallo there are lovely places to visit: the lakes, where you can go canoeing and kayaking, sailing and wind surfing, caves and ravines spectacular works of water erosion.
The Friuli Dolomites Nature Park is a great place for hiking, trekking and mountaineering.
